1. How do I get into the League?
You must first complete the online application form on this site. Once approved you will be sent a confirmation email with registration instructions.
2. What are the eligibility criteria?
We operate as a men's adult oldtimer house league. You must be 35 years of age or older by Dec.31st of the current year.
3. What caliber is the League?
Most players have competed in other adult recreational leagues and have usually played some level of competitive hockey in the past. This is not a League for novice players.
4. How are players assigned to teams?
There are three age divisions with 4 teams in each division. At the start of the season each Division holds a player draft at which the individual Team Managers select the players. Once the season starts some players may be moved to different teams to improve Division parity.
5. Can I request to play with someone?
The League only agrees to such requests on an exception basis where a sound rationale has been given (e.g., car pool arrangement).
6. Are uniforms provided?
Each team is equipped with a full set of sweaters and socks which must be returned at the end of the season.
7. How will I know if I've been accepted into the League?
You will receive an e-mail confirmation from the Registrar.
8. When do I have to pay?
You must pay by credit card at the time of registration. In the event your circumstances should change and you cannot play, a full refund will be provided, as long as no games have been played.
9. Are slap shots allowed?
The League operates by Oldtimer hockey rules which does not permit slap shots (see League Rules).
10. Do I have to wear a face shield?
A CSA approved facial protector (not altered in any way) is required; half-face shields must be worn with a mouth guard.
